scarves and rome and autumn

We turned the a/c off, finally. It's still in the mid-80s in the daytime, but those $1000 monthly bills were eating my lunch. There's a cold front that's supposed to be coming. I wish it'd get here.

I have a scarf for Mother a little over half done - I give myself one row every 1/2 hour or the end bit of time on my timer when I can't do anything else (I have this odd organizational thing - trust me, it works). I also have amazing yarn to make others on the plane/boat.

I can't decide if I'm excited about Rome or nervous. I guess I'll decide once I get closer and know how much work I have to take with me. ;-)

Right now I'm praying all I'll have is editing, proofing and writing. Oh, and there's a huge stack of planning stuff that I'm taking. And the marketing stuff. Travel plans for 2009...
