Happy birthday to me :D
*ponders*
Well, this is a big year for me. Amanda's 18, in college. The marriage turns 20. The business turns 5. This is the year that, when I found out I was pregnant and would sit in my physics class in high school and listen to everyone make their plans about college and life and travel and all, I would tell myself would mean I could go and do too.
Now, this year I'm traveling all over - in fact, starting tomorrow night, L&L are taking me to the Bahamas for a long weekend. We're going to Spain and Italy in November. We're planning some *amazing* travel for work. So, in that, I was right.
What I didn't know at 18 was that I would figure out a way for both me and Larry to graduate from college. That I would love the eighteen years of raising a girl. That I would go and see and play - not as much as some, but more than many.
*chuckles*
Larry said the other night that I'd told him, when I was 18, that we'd figure things out.
I reminded him that we'd figured some things out a long time ago and some? I haven't figured out yet. But, yeah.
My list to do before I died when I was 18?
Write a book. Check.
Raise the baby. Check.
Fly over the ocean. Check.
Live in California. Check.
Get a tattoo. Check.
Go to college. Check.
*grins*
Things to do before I'm 50...
Go to Greece.
Go to Tuscany.
See Ottawa during the Ice Festival.
I need to work on this list, huh? That'll never keep me 13 years...
