Carnitas for the Crockpot

4 lb. pork roast, cut into fist-sized chunks
1 beer
1 onion, cut up
2 cans of green chiles
cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chile powder to taste

Put in crockpot. Cover. Turn on low. 4 hours (or so) in, you can taste and I always need more chile powder and salt. Cook 8 hours in total.

Serve with sour cream and cheese in tortillas.

Okay this is my next attempt at cooking. Whenever somebody comes over to eat. Much too much for just me. Can you freeze it??

Looks yummy. I'll have to try it with beef at some point, see if it makes a good cholent (stew cooked all day on the Sabbath).
