bookstores and walmart and fried chicken salad

I went and indulged in used books today - Stephen King, mostly. I found a 1st editon of Salem's Lot and Everything's Eventual. Bought a few others, too. Nothing mind blowing, just books.

Stories.

Things to enjoy.

I also got film developed from Niagara Falls and bought a pair of lime green shorts and some movies on sale at the walmart. Lorna came over to help me make fried chicken salad, we watched mindless TV, wrote a little, worked.

I'm in the bed now, Ghost Rider on the television, working on a story that's past deadline, looking at my granny's baby, Ruby Evelyn, who's living in my room until I can get her to a doll hospital.

Life's trying to get back to what passes for normal around here.

I approve.
