Man, I have a lot to go on about, huh?

It was fun seeing B and the trip to RT in Houston was both different than I'd expected and about what I thought.

What I learned?

1. Lorna and I are incredibly well-suited to do business together - she stays calm when I'd lose it and I problem-solve when she'd close to panic. She keeps me focused and I keep us going. It works.

2. Torquere Press has the best readers on earth. No. Really. These people kick butt.

3. Houston traffic still sucks.

4. I can get smoked-out (it takes about 3 days).

5. I really like Cobb salads, the staff at the Hyatt, and sitting around shooting the shit.

6. B's a good mom. I mean, I didn't doubt it or anything, but now I know it, if you know what I mean. She also understands when I have to get up and move in the face of stranger's crappy mothering and she didn't get bitchy about it.

7. People love women who can laugh at themselves. Luckily, Lorna and I find ourselves endlessly amusing...

8. B likes cheese and tequila. This is, of course, to be expected. I mean, honestly. Cheese. Tequila.

9. Trent Willmon. I mean, I didn't learn about him, I *knew*, but! He signed my boob and I have pictures and he sang "Good Horses to Ride" and I just bawled like a moron. But, he sang it and it was *good*.

10. Knitters are on equal obsession crazy with quilters. This means, of course, if I ever get to B's house, she has to take me fabric shopping. ;-)

Okay. Back to work. I'm heading to New Orleans Thursday, so I have 1000000 things to do.
