I left behind bitterness
And make my living
Sugar-coating bullshit
And wrapping it in ribbons
Enough aquanet and glitter
And a spritz of rosewater
And someone will look at it
Call it love
I'll grin and nod
Maybe even flutter my eyelashes
While I'm taking my check
Straight to the bank.
