Poetry Thursday - a poetry snapshot
She sees herself
Awkward and long-limbed
Marred and scarred and scared
I see her
A cauldron of creation
Emeralds and rubies and hope
She sees herself
Always running late
Always being an imaginary curve
I see her
Laughing with the same sound
That I will always remember
She sees herself
Cloudy through a mirror
Of seventeen-year-old glass
I see her
Wrapped in memories
A present robed for the future
She sees herself.
I see her.
Awkward and long-limbed
Marred and scarred and scared
I see her
A cauldron of creation
Emeralds and rubies and hope
She sees herself
Always running late
Always being an imaginary curve
I see her
Laughing with the same sound
That I will always remember
She sees herself
Cloudy through a mirror
Of seventeen-year-old glass
I see her
Wrapped in memories
A present robed for the future
She sees herself.
I see her.
