Yesterday was fun - Mr. L and Ms. L took me out and we went to the Old Pecan Street Festival and then drove down to the Comal County Fair wherein there was bullriding.

There was bbq and gorditas and funnel cake and heat and cowboys in tight Wranglers and this really cool plant hanger (which I am mentioning here in the hopes that I remember to bug the husband to make me and Velma and Moma some.

The good news? I finished stage one of the terrifying day-job project and turned it in on schedule. Go me.

It sounds like Daddy's starting to get excited about Vegas. We should have fun (and those of y'all who know me know there will be 1000 pictures of Daddy, his friend, L and the husband standing in weird places.

What else...

I'll be married 18 years in a little less than 3 weeks. Mr. Bird and I are going to drive down to Padre for a weekend in December (he's selling custom knives at a show in Brownsville and we're going to do the beach-in-winter thing). I'm actually pretty excited. *grins* There's a sweet little hotel with a jacuzzi in the room and everything. Maybe go dancing Saturday night, etc.
